Josie Quick is graduating at semester and plans on attending Missouri University of Science and Technology to major in Biomedical Engineering. She hopes to user her "Spanish knowledge to communicate with patients in my future workforce as a clinical researcher and engineer."
When she thinks over her time at Kearney, her favorite memory of Spanish class is when "I watched Encanto back in middle school and the whole class sang 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' together!"Â
For her, being biliterate means "to not only speak multiple languages, but to also read and write fluently." Her advice for biliterate students is "to watch movies/shows and listen to podcasts with people fluent in Spanish to gauge your understanding of listening to people talk in real time."
