Tinley plans on attending the University of Central Missouri and majoring in Professional Pilot with a minor in Spanish. Her advice for students studying for the Seal of Biliteracy exam is "Don't procrastinate. Start studying now." She emphasized the need to study vocabulary and using different tenses "even if they aren't done correctly."
Her favorite memory from Spanish class was the zoo field trip and meeting Sherlock the bird. She enjoyed hearing other students talk about animals in Spanish.
Biliteracy means "Being able to communicate with others." She plans using the language in her future job as a commercial pilot to communicate with people who speak Spanish and to fly internationally. She added that earning the Seal of Biliteracy was "an amazing opportunity, I wouldn't have gotten if I hadn't moved to Kearney."
