Kate plans on attending the University of Missouri and majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences with an emphasis in Child Life, along with a minor in Spanish.
Kate's advice is to get good sleep, take breaks when you need it, make a mental checklist of what you have included in the essay and speaking portions, and finally to showcase your best work. She added, "Don't concern yourself with time constraints."
Her favorite memory from Spanish class was being a part of Mrs. Campbell's last year which included singing happy birthday and the zoo field trip. She also enjoyed finishing her first Spanish novel together with her classmates.
