Hale Awards
LOCATION: 'Akahi Dining Hall
Please join Residential Life on Friday, May 3rd, for our second annual Hale Awards evening. There are three award categories: E Ola, Mālama, and Hoʻomau. Students will receive their awards during our end of year Hale Awards & ʻOhana Celebration on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 5:30pm on Kapuāiwa courts. There will be entertainment, dinner, and fun activities. Please sign up for this event with this form link.
End Of Year Flight Travel (7th - 11th grade)
Aloha e nā 'ohana,
An email has been sent to you detailing the specifics about the end of year group travel information for your 7th - 11th grade haumāna.
Group travel departure will start on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM. All Residential Life Hale will close at 8:00 PM that same night.
Group Travel Instructions
May Group Travel Change Request: By May 10, 2024 11:59pm, cancel or opt out requests should be sent via the Group Travel Contact Form. After May 10, only cancellations will be processed. Parents/Guardians must submit a Group Travel Contact Form and notify the hale office of the change. Your late request will be processed, and you will be charged the Hawaiian Air or Mokulele $25 cancellation fee. Fees are subject to change without notice.
Transportation to/from the Honolulu Airport will be provided by Kamehameha Schools.
Luggage: Luggage must be hand carried on the bus. Hawaiian Air and Mokulele Airlines allow two checked bags at no cost for group travelers.
Please be advised that the Student Travel Brief will constantly and consistently be edited, so please read it carefully and often.
Individual Travel Notes
Ground Transportation: If you make individual (rather than group) air travel arrangements and would like to take advantage of ground transportation to/from the Honolulu airport, please make flight arrangements that depart from Honolulu at the same time as the group flights (see your email or contact cotavare@ksbe.edu for set times). Please indicate on the REACH pass if your student needs a seat on the airport shuttle bus.

Group travel departure will start on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM.

Aloha Games 2023-2024
Makahiki Games 2023-2024
Makahiki season, a time of tribute, harvest, sport and play. The season got off to an early start on Oct. 25 at Kōnia Field. About 300 haumāna competed in the Makahiki Games. Representing their individual hale, middle and high school haumāna competed in various games, including: hoʻokaʻa pōhaku (rock rolling – with a large heavy ball), ihe pāheʻe (spear sliding), ʻulu maika (disc rolling), moa pāheʻe (dart sliding), ʻōʻō ihe (spear throwing), kūkini loa (long distance race), kūkini poko (short distance race), kūkini hui (relay), haka moa (standing chicken fight, uma (arm wrestling) and hukihuki (tug of war)
Hulō to the overall winners:
ʻIolani dorm (kāne) and repeat champs, Kamehameha dorm (wāhine).
