Aloha, I am Kumu Neki and I am from Kapolei here on O'ahu. I have been with Nā Hale a Pauahi for a little of 4 years. I was previously a Program Assistant but am now a Residential Life Advisor here at Liholiho.
While dedicating my time caring for our haumāna, I am also completing a master's degree in School Counseling. I pride myself in working with keiki at the center, building pilina, and having fun. I am so honored and excited to work with your keiki this school year. Please reach out if you ever need anything.
Aloha mai kākou, My name is Kumu Landon and I am an Interim Residential Life Advisor for Liholiho Hale this year. This will be my 3rd year working with Res Life. I normally work as one of the Program Assistants for the department but had the privilege of working in ʻIolani Hale last year and Liholiho this year.
I am a KS alumni class of 2019 and a former Boarder originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. I've been able to get to know your haumāna these past 2 years and am excited to learn more about them this year. Kalaninui Kua Liholiho I Ke Kapu ʻIolani (Kamehameha II)
Born in Hilo in 1797, Liholiho was the son of King Kamehameha I and Queen Keōpūolani. He was raised under the guardianship of Queen Kaʻahumanu and later became King Kamehameha II. He is best known for helping end the traditional kapu system through the ʻAi Noa, a historic change that transformed Hawaiian society. He passed away on July 14, 1824.

Aloha kākou,
The nā kāne o Liholiho have expressed a strong interest in fishing this year. We are looking for partners to teach fishing techniques to our haumāna. This practical life skill can help the wellness and success of them being able to provide food for themselves and 'ohana. We are looking for kōkua in the following fishing techniques:
Pole fishing
Net fishing, net making/matinence
Fish trapping/making
If you OR someone you know may be interested in helping out our hale we would be extremely grateful, and we aks that you email the Hale. Our deadline to plan this huaka'i is Monday, 9/21/26. The huaka'i does NOT need to take place on or before this date, just our paperwork needs to be completed by this date for planning purposes. Mahalo nui!
