How can WeVideo be used to fuel student learning?

Literacy

Students can:

  • write and perform a play/narrative

  • create a commercial to demonstrate their understanding of persuasive techniques

  • create a "book trailer" for a book they've completed

Numeracy/STEM

Students can:

  • demonstrate their learning by recording themselves working through a problem on a whiteboard

  • create a tutorial for an experiment/problem-solving method for others

  • create coding tutorials

  • content specific videos to demonstrate mastery of content (mock news reports/interviews/documentary shorts)

Social Studies/Geography/History

Students can:

  • create a newscast to describe the impact of a severe weather event

  • create a mock interview with someone from the past

  • use the greenscreen feature to take classmates on a tour of other communities/cities/historic places

Arts/Music/Drama

Students can:

  • perform a musical piece/song and record

  • create a music video

In the shop

Students can:

  • create a tutorial video for DIY oil changes

  • document the process of creating a woodworking project
