In preparation for the de-streaming of all Grade 9 Compulsory Courses in September 2022, teams of writers from across KPDSB came together to curate and create tasks, assessments, and learning tools aimed at the broad range of learners in our Grade 9 programs. The mandate of the teams included:
Designing learning for a broad range of learners (Learning for All)
Keeping the curriculum as the focus for all tasks
Developing learning goals and model criteria for tasks -how will a student know they have learned?
Assessment for learning principles at the centre (Learning for All, p. 27 + Assessment for and as)
Triangulation and flexible assessment (conversation, observation, and product Growing Success, p. 34)
Below, you will find links to the five Grade 9 Compulsory Courses. These links will bring you to a sample long range plan with resources linked as well as folders that are organized by spiral, theme, or unit.
All files are available for you to copy and use with your students. Once you have copied the files to your own Drive, you are able to alter and adjust them to meet the needs of your students.

A special thank you goes out to the Writing Team members from across the system. These teams worked together to curate and create rich, authentic, and engaging learning tasks for the broad range of learners that we have across our system.
