Chromium Homepage.MP4How to change your Chromium homepage and set it to your preferred page.
Open files.MP4You can now go to "FILES" and select "Google Drive" and as long as you are logged into your Google Drive you can double-click on Google Slides (and other Google files) and they will open in Chromium!
Changes in the Latest Update from PROMETHEAN
Updates to the Annotate App - pen and highlighter sizes will be independent - you can leave the pen small and the highlighter big - also when you close the annotation it will ask if you want to save it to the whiteboard!
Updates to the Spinner App - you can add CELEBRATIONS and you can import a CSV list. You can have up to 50 items in a custom list in a spinner!
Updates to the Timer App - the timer can be MINIMIZED!

I found this out while traveling from classroom to classroom! Coolest thing ever. When you are plugged into the USB-C cable to the board your MacBook Air charges. You do not need to be plugged into a separate charger!!!
YOUR REMOTE ON YOUR NEW ACTIVE PANEL IS A CLICKER NOW!
Your new active panel should have recently been updated. With the latest update the remote to your panel is NOW a CLICKER!!! It will click through GOOGLE Slides - PDFs - ETC. How will you know if your panel has been updated? Look at the home screen - the blue one with the KCS and the time. Initially the time was in the middle of the screen - if the time is now at the TOP of the screen then you have the update and your remote is now a CLICKER!!!!!
REARRANGE the ICONS in your LOCKER = you can move the icons around in your locker!
Your locker is bascially like the home screen on your cell phone
You can click and hold on the icons and move them around
You can place them more conveniently in the order you might use them
ADD A CHROMIUM BOOKMARK TO YOUR LOCKER = You can add a bookmarked website or page from Chromium to your locker
In Chromium go to the website or page you want to use, then click on the 3 dots in the upper right
Scroll to find "add to homescreen, you can rename it anything you want - click ADD
Open your LOCKER and scroll to the last page -
Click and hold on the icon you just created - you can DRAG it to the left and PLACE it on any "page" of the locker you want it to be on
RECENT APPS =
Instead of CLOSING apps to go between things USE recent apps
If you don't close apps with the X they will stay open
If you click on RECENT APPS in your UNIFIED MENU all your open apps will appear there
You can easily select an app you want to use without closing and opening apps all the time
ALSO - Chromium will reopen with the tabs you had open if you don't close the tabs before you close Chromium!
ANNOTATE APP = turn it on and off without closing it!
Click on the EYE in the annotate box
This way you can click to the next slide or open another app without closing the annotate app
Open A Google Slide Using "PUBLISH TO THE WEB" for a Cleaner, Easier View
Don't like the new way your Google Slides open in Chromium with the latest update? This takes a few more steps, but if you set it up in the morning you can leave it open all day without opening and closing it.
Find your Google Slide in Google Drive and open it in Chromium
Once open click "FILE" on the toolbar - look near the bottom of the list and click on "PUBLISH TO THE WEB"
This will open another dialog box - click PUBLISH *if you have never published this file you will be asked if you want to publish - click OK
Your URL link will be highlighted in blue - you need to copy the ENTIRE URL link if you DOUBLE CLICK on it then you will get the option to COPY
OPEN A NEW TAB - Double click in the address bar of the new tab and CLICK PASTE
Hit ENTER - your "pubished" file will open and be ready for you to use - you will still have the controls in the bottom, but you will not lose your tabs at the top - you CAN close the original file now - nothing happens to it and you don't need it anymore
**sometimes when you paste the URL to open the published file you might get an error that it wasn't "published" - just go through the steps again and it will work - Promise!

When you wait 3 seconds between what you are writing on the whiteboard app each thing you write becomes a moveable image
Write the word CAT but wait 3 seconds between each letter and you can move each letter independently - but write the word CAT without pausing and the whole word becomes a moveable image.

Any app that has the dual screen icons at the bottom can be used in dual screen or multi-window mode
If you want your whiteboard to be on the right click the dual screen button with the white box on the right
Then if you want Chromium to be on the left click on Chromium and click the dual screen button with the white button on the left
To take them out of dual screen just click the dual screen icons again
OPENING A PDF and YOU GET A LOGIN SCREEN? = you do NOT have to login
There is a small, white "X" in the upper right of the login box
If you can't find the X it helps if you aren't in full-screen
Just click out of the login screen and you should be able to use Adobe and open PDFs
Change your homepage in CHROMIUM = do you want Chromium to always open on a specific page?
You can change the HOMEPAGE of Chromium
Click the 3 dots in the upper right
Click settings near the bottom of the list
Scroll until you see HOMEPAGE
#1 make sure this is clicked ON
#2 click this on if you want every new tab to open to this page
#3 Where it says "open this page" - click to delete the MY Promethean website and type in the website you want or paste the website you want
