THE ROLE OF PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP IN DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION
TKACHENKO Olena, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, Ukraine, https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2923-7186, tkachenkoolena@kneu.edu.ua
Abstract. The current conditions of the Ukrainian economy have undoubtedly changed significantly since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. All sectors of the national economy have undergone significant changes, both in their structure and in their regulatory framework.
Agriculture is one of the sectors that has been directly affected by the war. However, despite the large-scale destruction of infrastructure in this sector, mining of fields, reduced production, etc., experts still note that this industry will remain key for Ukraine and will still allow it to maintain its position as a global breadbasket.
The Ukrainian agricultural sector has long been deeply integrated in terms of international processes. Ukraine has access to the latest developments in terms of technology supply and exports. And we should continue on this path, because innovation is the future. In the near future, every farmer will try to cover at least several areas. This also means that the product portfolio of companies supplying plant protection products, seeds and fertilizers will have to become more diverse. In addition, they will have to be flexible, because each farmer will have a different strategy, although all of them are aimed at diversification. Global readiness exists, we just need to adapt and learn how to offer these solutions in Ukraine.
The main strategic directions of agricultural development in Ukraine should be: improving the regulatory and legal framework that would ensure sustainable development of agriculture; production of organic, safe and environmentally friendly agricultural products; establishing market prices for products that will ensure profitability of its production for the majority of producers; introduction of the latest technological advances and innovations; and involvement of young people in agriculture; ensuring decent wages in agriculture.
Keywords: development, agriculture, public-private partnership, economy, export, strategic development.
