Do Something performance tasks ask students to demonstrate their anti-bias awareness and civic competency by applying their literacy and social justice knowledge in an authentic real-world context.
Article: The “whys” and “hows” of teaching about religious radicalism.
This strand is designed for schoolwide content teachers to support academic language and literacy in elementary through higher education classroom settings. Participants will connect WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) with intentional language development practices and routines to strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing literacy for all students. This workshop is open to teachers at all schools.

Founded in October 2000 by Kathie Wells, a local real estate agent. Made up of individuals, the local business community, churches, other nonprofit organizations, parents, students and teachers offered their support for this program.
CHS is run completely by volunteers and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Donations go directly from the community donor to the teacher and students.
