Meet Evgenii.

@edtechii

As a teenager, I broke a wrist attempting to slide down a rail on a snowboard. I’m still in love with this winter sport nevertheless.

Bio

I was born and raised in the city of Barnaul in Siberia, Russia. As an undergraduate, I lived in South Korea (2010) as an exchange student for one semester, then in Germany (2012) for roughly a year as an AuPair. After graduation in 2013, I stepped into the international teaching arena, which took me to China (Dongguan then Shanghai). Kuwait was the next destination in 2016, followed by a return to Russia in 2021. I have been fortunate enough to visit a handful of fantastic locations on our planet and capture their beauty on camera. In February 2022, I successfully completed a doctoral program at Carson-Newman University (TN) and defended my thesis titled “Effects of Esports Integration in K-12 settings”.

Experience in Education

In the professional dimension of my life, I describe myself as an educational technology specialist, cinematographer, and gamer. As I said earlier, my teaching career started in 2013 as an ESL teacher. After completing a Washington D.C. teaching license, I was an elementary homeroom teacher before becoming a full-time educational technology coach. Treading a path of innovation and creativity, I am an educational influencer whose true passion is to explore, inspire, and share. I produce digital content about educational technology, innovation, Minecraft Education, and cinematic storytelling, which I share on my YouTube channel.
