Plan for a successful year with Khan Academy Kids
Khan Kids content is packaged in three different ways. The first is the Learning Path, which automatically adjusts in difficulty based on student responses. If they tap this purple book in the corner, they see all the lessons displayed in a grid format. They can tap the tabs across the top of the screen to go to a certain subject area, and then they can scroll through the grids to find a lesson or book they’d like to engage with. Teachers can turn off some of or all of these tabs, and they can also direct student learning by using assignments.

Khan Academy Kids is the perfect tool to inform your instructional decisions.
Following the formative assessment model, teachers can assign practice based on their scope and sequence or student need. Students have time to engage in meaningful, joyful practice. Teachers get real-time data on student performance and then assign additional practice based on that data. In Khan Academy Kids, most skills have 4 practice lessons. This allows for additional practice, spiral review, and remediation as-needed.
Benefits of using Khan Academy Kids consistently
Khan Academy Kids has been shown to improve students' learning outcomes. An independent study by the University of Massachusetts Amherst found that preschoolers living in families with below-average household income significantly improved their pre-literacy skills after using Khan Academy Kids for around 20 minutes a day. Encouraging regular use of the Khan Kids app at home can bolster learning gains and—most importantly—build a love of learning.
