CEMC Gauss Contest 2026
The Gauss Contest is a 60-minute, 25 multiple choice question contest that offers unique and interesting problems that encourages curiosity and nurtures an interest in the power of math – past papers may be viewed here: https://cemc.uwaterloo.ca/resources/past-contests?grade=All&academic_year=All&contest_category=13
It is open to students in Years 7 – 9 and will take place after school on Thursday 21st May 2026, finishing just before 5pm. The entry fee is $35HKD, which parents will be invoiced for through our school’s ePayment system. Detailed logistical information will be sent to participants around 1 week prior to the Contest date.
If you wish to take part, please sign up through the Activities page on LIONeL by the Monday 20th April 2026 deadline, and have your parents approve in LIONeL by the Tuesday, 21st April 2026 deadline. If you’re having trouble signing up because of a clash with another CAS Activity, please click here to let us know and we can sign you up manually.
