Alternative Spring Break 2019

For this trip, we were off to Puerto Rico to help with hurricane relief! Words cannot begin to describe this trip. It was the most fun I have ever had. It was the hardest I have ever worked. It was the most I have ever laughed, it was amazing. We helped clean up trash from one of the beaches, painted three houses, had a couple of dance parties with the locals, and even went coral reef snorkeling by an island. It was such an awesome opportunity and I am so thankful to have been able to go. There were twenty-one people on this trip and all of us have a deep friendship and connection now. Again we did the 6 words of service which motivated us for each day of work and helped us learn about each other and ourselves. Attached you will find photos, photos that do not do justice the beauty of this trip. We were able to make an impact on everyone we came across and to me, it almost felt like they were serving our souls and we offered our service to them. To top it all off, I was even stung by a jellyfish! (Don't worry, photo attached!) I thank Keuka College and the Center for Spiritual Life for this opportunity.
