My fourth and final Field Period was at Keuka College again, but this time in the Lightner Library. I absolutely love books. Having worked in a book factory once before, I have a great appreciation for literature. Working with the library was a no-brainer. The lovely staff in the Lightner Library gave me a lot of projects to work on, including archival work and general library duties. It was an absolute blast to say the least. I learned a lot about how libraries and colleges work and just how important they are to the students, faculty and staff.
This experience was truly amazing. Every day was like diving into a new history lesson about the college, and I loved every minute of it. I learned so much about the history of Keuka College that I could probably recite most of the history pretty accurately! I was able to utilize this experience during class discussions about things such as operations management, budgeting, and overall leadership. Thank you Lightner!
