Attendance Notes

Our attendance system is paperless. If your child is absent or needs an early release, email a note to attendance.sk@kenton.kyschools.us and our staff will take care of excusing the absences. 

NaviGo Prep 2024 Career Exploration Summer Camps

NaviGo Prep has opened up applications for their FREE Career Exploration Summer Camps that are being held this June. There are 10 different camps that rising sophomores, juniors and seniors can attend.  Students will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities with faculty and industry professionals.  Students are welcome to attend more than one camp this summer.  Lunch is provided.  Space is limited! Kenton County School's JROTC Program

The JROTC application has opened for the 2024-2025 school year. The deadline for priority admissions is Tuesday, November 21st. The application can be accessed at JROTC Application (google.com). The recruitment video can be found at KCSD JROTC - Kenton County School District (kyschools.us).

2024 North Central Area Health Education Program (NC AHEC) Health Career Summer Camp

This is your chance to explore health careers hands-on! Many instructor- led activities and the opportunity to speak directly with top health professionals.  There are 2 different camp dates hosted at Gateway's Edgewood Campus:  June 3rd - June 6th and June 10th - June 13.  Space is limited to 30 students per week.

St. Elizabeth Healthcare High School Volunteer Program

If you are seeking service hours, a way to meet teens from over 40 high schools and scholarship opportunities - we have a place for you.  Students age 14 and older are eligible.  Shifts are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 8am - 8pm.  Students typically serve 3-4 hours per week.  The 2024 application is now open.  For more information go to stelizabeth.com/high-school-volunteer.  

Edgewood Fire Department Internship & Junior Firefighter Program

The Edgewood Fire Dept. will have some additional spots for graduating seniors in their internship program. Students can have their college tuition paid for with participation in this program. Students do not have to be pursuing a certification for Fire/EMS. Fire Internship Application

They also will be starting their Junior Firefighter Program in January. This program is for people between the ages of 16-18. This gives them a small glimpse of the fire/ems service but is a great stepping stone towards the internship program to have their college paid for: Junior Firefighter Application
