Do you want you want to publish your pieces? Do you want to get some advice on some of your works? Read the steps below to submit your work.
Feedback on your work
Blank Slate is currently closed to receiving works to be edited, but we will be accepting pieces in September/October 2022. If you are interested in workshopping some of your pieces, send your manuscript to keanblankslate@gmail.com.
The subject of your email should include your name, title of your manuscript, and what form of literature you have done (ie. poetry, short stories, prose, etc).
The content of your email should include your manuscript (should be a doc. or PDF), and any questions or concerns you have.
Publish your work
We are accepting submissions for our next collection, which will be published in Spring 2023. If you are interested in submitting work for our next collection, send your manuscript to keanblankslate@gmail.com.
The subject of your email should include your name, title of your manuscript/art pieces, and state that it is for the collection.
If you are submitting writing for the collection the content of your email should include your manuscript (doc. or PDF), and if you would like one of our members to work with you to edit your work.
If you are submitting art pieces or photography the content of your email should include pictures of your pieces (JPEG or PDF).
Rules for Submissions for Spring 2023 Collection
In accordance with Kean's Harassment, Intimidation, Bullying, and Free Speech and Dissent policies, Blank Slate will accept any form of expression as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others or emotionally harm others.
Literature Submissions
We will be accepting no more than 7 poems per submission. Each poem should be no longer than 2 1/2- 3 pages.
For short stories/prose, we will be accepting no more than 3 pieces per submission. Each short story should be no longer than 10 pages.

Art/Photography Submissions
For all forms of art and photography, we will be accepting no more than 10 pieces per submission.
If you are submitting a drawing or painting the picture of the drawing/painting should be taken in good quality lighting, with minimal shadows.
If you are submitting photography, all pieces must be of the highest quality possible.
