About Us

What is Blank Slate?

Blank Slate is a student-run organization dedicated to celebrating the diversity of Kean. We work to collect art and other forms of expression from Kean students to spread literacy and appreciation for the arts around campus.

Mission

Our mission at Blank Slate is to raise the arts to a more visible and influential part of our campus. The Blank Slate Collective seeks to celebrate all forms of creativity and the process of creating art by allowing students to publish their pieces. The Blank Slate Collective accepts works in all stages of the "creative process" to show students that their work should still be shared. We accept submissions anonymously for students who are not quite ready to formally share their work to still see the "fruits of their labor."

Blank Slate allows the community to see how important the arts are and the ways that the students are striving in their artistic endeavors.
