LINMUN VI
March 7-8th, 2026
March 7-8th, 2026
Our team is excited to be hosting our sixth multi-school Model United Nations conference in New Taipei City's Linkou District. It is our hope that we can establish and maintain a thriving MUN scene here, promoting a long-lasting tradition of inter-school collaboration and competition. LINMUN will follow the official THIMUN procedures. Upon completion of the event, all participating delegates will receive a Certificate of Participation and delegates with the most speaker points will receive certain prizes/awards.
We hope that experienced delegates and new delegates alike will find the committee issues both challenging and engaging. Delegate participation will be tracked in real-time between committees and shared with the attending Directors. Delegates will further be encouraged to make use of recent, reputable news stories in their research to inform their representation of their countries and understanding of the respective environmental issues.
We look forward to hosting all participating schools and students in 2026!
Welcome to the 2026 Linkou Model United Nations
This year, LINMUN proudly embraces the theme of Global Security and Inclusion, a call to action for a world where safety, stability, and equal participation go hand in hand. As technology improves, questions arise throughout the world. Every field, whether economically, socially, culturally or environmentally, is facing severe threats and challenges. Thus, humans, no matter what status and identity, have the responsibility to brainstorm solutions and put them into action. Delegates, by gathering at LINMUN VI, we see the hope that our world can be secured and protected. To achieve this goal, inclusion of every culture, society and people are necessary. It is only with global cooperation that issues, including but not limited to climate change, borderline conflicts and cybercrime, can be solved. With these in mind, LINMUN VI invites participants to imagine a future where global security is strengthened not by exclusion, but by expanding representation, building trust, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
This year’s LINMUN VI conference draws its thematic focus from three key Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Together, these goals form the foundation of the event’s committees and debates, encouraging delegates to explore issues of global inequality, conflict resolution, transparency, institutional strength, and international cooperation. By centering discussions around these SDGs, LINMUN VI aims to inspire solutions that promote fairness, stability, and collaborative progress across nations.
