Johnny Appleseed

          We celebrated Johnny Appleseed's Birthday a day early on the 25th since we didn't have school on the 26.  We learned about him in our Weekly Reader.   Then, we had an apple tasting contest between 4 apples; Pink Lady, Honeycrisp,  Granny Smith, and First Kiss.  Students picked one of each apple and put it on their plate.  They then tried each apple individually.  Next, we voted on which apple we liked the best.  We recorded our results on a bar graph.  Pink Lady was the winner with 3 votes.  We finished the day off with the leftover apples and carmel apple dip!  Yum!

We made an apple mosiac and Johnny Appleseed puppet for art!
