Mr. Lavine
Students in Math Learning Lab have gotten off to a strong start, working well with their group members to produce quality work. Our focus so far has been reviewing concepts like fraction and decimal operations, while equipping our students to use those skills in the real world. They're earning plenty of Brain Bucks to buy goodies from the Spartan Store!
Let's see who can show the most growth this semester!
Mrs. Maldonado
We’ve been very busy in the ELA Learning Lab, getting to know our amazing students and building strong classroom routines. Each week, we’ve been diving into reading and writing activities, practicing important literacy skills, and working hard on our weekly i-Ready lessons. It’s been exciting to see our students already showing growth, effort, and enthusiasm for learning!
Mr. Matsushita
From this year, we have started a new class for designing our yearbook! Currently, the students are starting to get familiar with how to navigate the computers and cameras needed to capture and edit the photos for the yearbook. As we also practice together to create a cover design and quote (title for the yearbook), students spark their creativity to show their unique designs. Stay tuned for more updates!
Mr. Falzarano
Welcome back! Students are off to a great start in Interactive Science Wheel Class. Period 1 and 2 seventh graders have been working hard setting up their Kratky and Nutrient Film Technique Hydroponics projects. Period 3 6th graders are busy extracting DNA from a strawberry while Period 5 8th graders are exploring electric motors.

This year, we have our largest 8th grade class yet. It's impressive watching them navigate through a small band room without falling or knocking into each other.
We had our annual beginning band instrument screening day. This is where the beginning band members come in and test their top 3 choices. On this day, we have former students come back and help. The one in the picture is Camila Larson, senior at Kapolei High School. At 17 years old, she is already thinking about investing and buying houses. Definitely a good role model for our students.
Mr. Morimoto
It's the start of the year and Student Council is laying the plans for the school year! The new 8th grade (and a couple of former) officers helped with Meet & Greet, and changed the information on the marquees.
6th and 7th grade Leadership Wheel classes opened the quarter by sharing what they already know about leadership and collectively agreed to a definition so we can move forward together!
