These are lesson links for third grade families from the Specialist Team : Art, PE, Library, Counselors, Technology and STEM. You can enjoy one activity a week with your child over the next 6 weeks (January 25 - March 5, 2021).  They are created for students to learn at their own pace that is comfortable for them.

• An ecosystem is a community of interacting organisms & their environment.

• Organisms only survive in an ecosystem when their specific needs are met.

• Newly introduced organisms can throw off the balance of an ecosystem.

• A healthy ecosystem has many different kinds of organisms.

In this activity students learn that an organisms can only survive in an ecosystem where its needs are met. They explore a variety of different ecosystems and study the interaction between living things and non-living things, such as soil, water, and air. They also think about changes in ecosystems and the impacts they have on living things.
