2nd Grade

Pre-recorded lessons for 2nd graders.

Week of  November 23 - January 15

Specialists

These are lesson links for second grade families from the Specialist Team : Art, PE, Library, Counselors, Technology and STEM. You can enjoy one activity a week with your child over the next 6 weeks (November 23 - January 15).  They are created for students to learn at their own pace that is comfortable for them.

Previous Lessons:

STEM : Earth's Events

Use information from several sources to provide evidence that Earth events can occur quickly or slowly.

3D Experiment: Create a shake table: A shake table can help engineers build earthquake-proof buildings. Buildings that are tall will shake more than buildings that are close to the ground. With this in mind, engineers can use what they learned from using a shake table to change designs to keep buildings from falling down and hurting people during an earthquake.

ART

This project deals with the unique situation we are all going through with the COVID-19 pandemic--wearing masks! I hope this project shines a positive light on wearing masks and the amazing person behind the mask!
