Philippines

The Republic of the Philippines is located about 5,500 miles west of Hawaii. The Philippines is made up of thousands of islands and has a population of about 110 million. The country is linguistically diverse and over 180 languages are spoken. There are about 550 students from the Philippines at Waipahu High School, the majority are from the Ilocos region in northern Luzon.
