Team members communicate with each other via Slack and email. Bella may occasionally send a voice message via Voxer.
Team members are expected to respond to communication within one hour during regular business hours.
Regular business operating hours are defined as 9 AM - 5 PM EST, Monday - Friday
Bella is in the office and available for meetings Tuesday through Thursday 8 am to 2 pm PST. Monday and Friday are light days because she is with her daughter.
When you have questions or concerns, please consult the following in the listed order:
SOPs > Team Members > Management > Bella.
When communicating with management about a problem, try to bring a solution to the table as well!
The Jump Consulting Slack is open from 8 am-7 pm MST to all team members. Team members should direct all communication through Slack for a prompt response. The expected response time is one hour during regular business hours. Team members are not expected to check Slack after hours.
Bella responds to Slack communications from 10 am-11a m and 1 pm-2 pm each day. Team members should save all questions for Bella and send them during this window.
A Slack channel is simply a place to direct communication about a specific topic. At Jump Consulting, we use the following Slack channels for streamlined, searchable conversations.
Channels - Team
#Breakroom - Just fun stuff and life!
#Announcements - Important company updates.
#Questions - Team members can ask questions for leadership.
#Schedules - Team members' schedules - update as needed.
Download the Slack Desktop application.
Click your profile picture in the top right-hand corner.
Click “Pause Notifications.”
Click “Set Notification Schedule.”
From this screen, you can set the times and days when you will accept notifications. RECOMMENDED: Weekdays 8 AM - 7 PM
Slack can integrate with a number of external applications, like Google Drive, Gmail, Voxer, and (if you want to have some fun) Giphy! Click here for a full list of integrations and how to use them.
Slack is a great place to ask other team members to get things done quickly and efficiently. If you are asked to complete a specific task in Slack, please use a green checkmark emoji to indicate that you have read and resolved the task.
If you can’t get to the task right away, click on the message, click the three dots for more actions, and set a reminder to come back to the task in a few hours when you are free.
If it is a task that can wait for more than a day, please add the task to your Trello board to complete another day. Respond to the message in Slack, tag the person who sent it to you, and let them know it has been added to your Trello.
Whenever a team member completes a Trello assignment or other assigned task, they should tag Bella on that card to review.
