Key Club is a student-run organization that allows 9th-12th grade students to serve the community, become leaders, and become better people. Key Club International started in 1925 and has been at John Curtis for over 20 years. John Curtis Christian School has offered this opportunity to all of its students with the help of advisor, Mr. Simmons. The Key Club also has a sub-organization called Builders Club which 7th and 8th graders can join. The core values of the Key Club global organization are leadership, character building, caring, and inclusiveness. So far this school year, the JCCS Key Club has completed multiple service projects such as hosting a blood drive, feeding community members at a church, and volunteering at Trunk or Treat. Under the leadership of club advisor, Mr. Simmons, the Key Club is successfully fulfilling the core values of its club. For any student who is interested in joining Key Club, the meetings are held each Wednesday during 2nd lunch in room H-5.
Key Club members volunteered at the Lower School Trunk-or-Treat event to spread some cheer to young children.
The Key Club hosted a blood drive at the school this fall. The Key Club will also host another blood drive in the spring.
Members volunteered at the Riverside Church Fall Festival to distribute popcorn, cotton candy, and chili to attendees.
