Loxone-Nuki Integration

Overview

The Loxone-NUKI integration is designed to combine NUKI’s advanced smart lock capabilities with Loxone’s comprehensive smart home automation, facilitated through the JobelHome Platform. This integration provides seamless communication between systems, enabling robust and convenient door access control alongside intelligent home automation.

Communication Flow

1. JobelHome Platform to Loxone Mini-Server:

   • The JobelHome Platform communicates directly with the Loxone Mini-Server to synchronize guest credentials and automation settings.

2. Loxone Mini-Server to NUKI Bridge:

   • Through HTTP integration, the Loxone Mini-Server communicates with the NUKI Bridge over Wi-Fi.

3. NUKI Bridge to NUKI Lock:

   • The NUKI Bridge acts as a "black box," relaying commands via Bluetooth to the NUKI Lock for door access control.

Advantages of the Integration

1. Seamless Operation:

   • The system allows guests to use NUKI for door access while enabling Loxone to handle smart home features such as lighting and climate control.

2. Easy Setup:

   • The integration process is straightforward, leveraging Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to connect systems.

Limitations

1. Door Compatibility:

   • Not all doors are supported by the NUKI system. For example, certain high-security doors may not be compatible.

   • For detailed information, refer to the NUKI documentation to confirm compatibility with your specific door type.

2. Reliance on Wi-Fi:

   • The integration depends on a stable Wi-Fi connection between the NUKI Bridge and the Loxone Mini-Server.

   • The Gateway has to be placed in close proximity to the TTLock since they communicate over bluetooth.

3. Powered by Battery:

   • Batteries inside the Lock need to be changed periodically.
