Introduction

The JobelHome platform offers a WishCode feature. The WishCode feature makes it possible to set identical codes for most access codes the guest needs. On many properties guests may need to pass through multiple locked doors until they can enter their apartment. There might be a door in the building's central staircase that leads to a hallway with multiple Apartments for a number of guests. For convenience of the guest these codes could be the same so guests only need to remember one code. 

Guests could also be able to choose their own access code that is easier for them to remember.

The door access code can be the same code that is used to access the smart home app as well.

How WishCode Works

1. Automatic Code matching:

   • Random Access Code is generated.

   • The system attempts to synchronize this code with compatible locking systems used on the property.

   • Guests can suggest their preferred access code.

2. Supported Locking Systems:

   • Compatible Systems: Loxone, TTLock, Nuki – These systems typically accept custom access codes.

   • Incompatible Systems: Static code systems, such as gate codes assigned by property management, do not allow custom codes. For these systems, a WishCode cannot be implemented.

3. Smart Home Integration:

   • The password used to access the Smart Home App is the same as the door access code for further convenience.

4. Purpose of the Feature:

   • Improved User Experience: Check-in process is simplified since guests only have to remember one code. Guests can select codes that are easy for them to remember.

1. • Security Measures: While the feature grants guests flexibility, safeguards are in place to minimize potential misuse. 

Balancing Security and Guest Experience

While it is not possible to guarantee 100% security, the following measures significantly enhance it:

• Restricting the active period of WishCodes to minimize overlap risks.

• Implementing complexity rules for codes.

• Logging all code-related activities to maintain transparency and accountability.

By introducing these measures, the WishCode feature combines guest convenience with robust security practices, providing a flexible yet safe solution for property access.
