Dear JES FAMILY,

Welcome to Jacksonville Elementary! We are thankful you are partnering with us on your child’s educational journey. Your child’s education is our most important job. This school year will be very similar to last year in that we will ensure that we follow all COVID guidelines. We are so excited to meet all of our scholars. This year at Jacksonville Elementary, our focus is threefold. We will focus on safety, academics, and community partnership.

This school year, our top priority is safety. We want to ensure that every scholar and staff who enters our building feels secure at both JES campuses (Pinewood and Dupree). Through collaboration with our district and state personnel, we are working diligently to ensure that processes, procedures, and systems are in place to maintain the safety of all who enter our building. Secondly, we understand that, although we are working through a pandemic, we, at JES, will provide high-quality, rigorous instruction to all scholars through a virtual or blended option. Our teachers will continue to work diligently to individualize and differentiate instruction to best meet the needs of all students. In the 2021-2022 school year, our work continues to ensure that all students receive a premier education at

JES. Lastly, we will strive to continue to build partnerships with our families and community throughout this school year. We believe that it takes a village to raise a child. Through partnerships with all stakeholders, our belief is that the needs of all scholars can and will be met.

While these are uncertain times, we want to thank you for entrusting us with your most prized possession. We look forward to a wonderful school year partnering with you to ensure your scholar experiences a high-quality, safe learning environment at JES.
