JES COUNSELOR CORNER

Hey there, hi there! My name is Senetra Jefferson, and I am excited to serve as one of the brand new school counselors at Jacksonville Elementary this school year! What an incredible year this will be as we merge two buildings into ONE amazing school community! Before becoming a school counselor, I was an elementary classroom teacher for nine years, and have taught grades 2nd through 4th. I received my master’s degree and certification in School Counseling in 2019. As your child's school counselor, I am dedicated to providing a comprehensive, responsive, and preventive program that fosters every student's social-emotional, academic, and career development. I was born and raised in Sherwood. I now live in Jacksonville with my two boys who are also JES Titans, Corey and Caylen. Some of my favorite things include: spending time with family and friends, cooking (eating lol), decorating, traveling, shopping, and physical activity --especially dancing and weight lifting! I am a proud JES Titan and beyond thrilled to begin this new journey with all our amazing scholars, staff, and families! I am as committed to parents as I am to scholars, so if you have a concern or challenge with which you would like some help, please just feel free to ask by calling the school or emailing me directly.

My name is Rachel Lambert and I am 27 years old and am married to my High School sweetheart. We have a dog, Winnie, and a cat named Ellie. I earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Child and Human Development from the University of Arkansas, a Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Post-Graduate Certification in School Counseling from Southern Arkansas University. For the past couple of years I have been working with children in the foster care system as well as school-based mental health as a licensed Mental Health Counselor, but this will be my first year as a Certified School Counselor! I love all things Disney and Harry Potter and could talk about both topics all day long!
