Jacksonville Elementary School - Third Grade

My name is Jamie Walsh. I will be your child's third grade teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. This will be my 18th year as an educator and my fourth year at Pinewood. I attended college at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and I also have graduate hours from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia Arkansas. Some of my favorite things include Marvel and DC comic movies, tacos, the color black, r and b music and shopping.

Hello! My name is Karen Roemer. I am a 3rd grade teacher at the Dupree Campus. I can't wait to be back in the classroom and to spend time teaching our scholars. I live in Conway with my husband Ryan and our four children - Gunner (8), Ryleigh (5), Jeremiah (5), and Chanleigh (1). I graduated from Sheridan High School in 2012 with High Honors and UCA in 2018 with Magna Cum Laude status for my Bachelor's of Science in Education K-6. This is my 4th year of teaching. My favorite things are the colors pink/teal/black, Chocolate Milk, Netflix binging, taking family trips as often as possible (Branson is our go to), and painting/crafts or DIY projects in my spare time.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Wakefield and I am so excited to teach 3rd grade this year! I was born and raised in central Arkansas. I graduated high school from Cabot and I graduated college from Central Baptist College. This will be my first year teaching for Jacksonville North Pulaski School District and I am super excited about it! My husband James and I have been married for almost 5 years and I have 3 amazing sons! We also have 3 dogs, 2 black labs and 1 chocolate lab. Our dogs are very much spoiled! In my free time I love being with my family, playing with my dogs, cooking, and reading. I can't wait to meet my new 3rd graders! This is going to be a grade year!

Hello! I am Madison Ratthasombath and I am 23 years old. I currently live in East End with my parents and younger sister. I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and am planning to obtain my Masters Degree soon! This is my second year teaching, and I am so looking forward to seeing my old and new students! I look forward to teaching you and learning from you, and hope that we can all grow together!

Hello! My name is Jessica Grogan and I will be teaching 3rd grade at Jacksonville Elementary: Pinewood Campus. This will be my 4th year teaching, but first year in 3rd grade. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood from Arkansas State University in 2015. I also have been working on my Master's degree in Special Education. I am 31 years old and live in Beebe. I am not married, nor do I have any kids. I do have a fur baby named Izzy. I am looking forward to getting to know my scholars and having a successful school year!

My name is Amber Speights and this will be my first year as a third grade teacher. I taught pre-kindergarten in Little Rock for five years prior to transitioning to the elementary level. I taught Kindergarten the last two years at the Dupree Campus. I received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech in 2012 and I am currently working towards my Master's of Art in Teaching at the University of Central Arkansas. I am married with three children. We have two daughters and one son. My favorites include: Diet Coke, Trail Mix, Reading, Spending time with my family, Teaching, and watching Hallmark Holiday movies.
