Friendzy: This month’s Friendzy focus is KNOW YOUR LIMIT!
It teaches us about the importance of setting healthy boundaries by listening to our mind, body, and heart so we live within our limits and thrive. We will use Psalm 16:5-6 ,“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”
We are created to thrive within specific physical, emotional and spiritual boundaries. When we help students understand these God-given limits, we are guiding them toward safety, wisdom and the true freedom that comes from living within God’s will in all of our relationships.

This week in math we will continue our unit on chapter 7: functions. After learning the definition of a function, writing function rules, reviewing graphing, and working with the following vocab words; input, output, dependent, and independent variable, this week we will finish the rest of chapter 7, speed and distance graphs. Students will be able to connect real-life situations to distance and speed graphs, describing slope as changing with an "increasing" or "decreasing" rate according to a curve.

We will review exponential functions, understanding how to solve for a given value and write equations when we know our rate of growth or decay. We will assess midweek and begin Unit 6B after the assessment.
