Science:

Learning Targets: 

This week in science we will continue our unit on Diversity of Life. We will continue our content on bacteria, fungus, and archaea. This week focusing largely on archaea, we will be able to answer our question Which are we more like, Archaea, Bread mold, or Bacteria? We will wrap up the content and do a small, independent domains project for students to compare and contrast the three domains discussed in class.

Social Studies: We will begin by discussing the role of the Church in medieval society, and how that role eventually morphed into something that was far away from the original message of Christ.  We will also discuss how the Church's involvement in the political situation in Europe eventually led to the corruption of the Church as an institution.

Math: In the upcoming week students will continue their unit on Percents. We will be solving markup, discount, and simple interest percent problems.
