What we're learning & doing in class: This week we will be continuing in our new unit of "Jesus' Ministry Expands." We will learn about stories of Jesus in the Gospels and journal about them.
Assignments/Assessment: Bible Memory: March 18
Learning Targets: We will be reviewing and then taking a test on division with decimal numbers and word problems. Then we will be discussing expressions and graphing.

Learning Targets: This week will continue to learn about our new unit "Living Systems." We will continue working on understand ecosystems and the different components.

Learning Targets: This week we will discuss forming a government. What are the three branches and why do we have them?
Project: Thursday: The Constitution Assessment
Reading/Writing: This week, we will begin reading Bud, Not Buddy, another historical fiction book by Christopher Paul Curtis. This book takes place during the Great Depression, and I look forward to learning more about this time period and the characters in the story with students.

Band: The Celebration of the Arts concert is on March 19, and the 5th/6th grade bands will be performing at 7:15pm. Call time for 5th grade is 7:00 in the band room. Performance attire for the evening is theme shirts with jeans or nice pants.
Band Days this week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday will be a choir day.
Homework: Second round of practice records of the third trimester due Monday, March 16
