Reading/Writing: This week, we will continue our informational writing unit. Building on what students learned about life for African Americans in the 1960s, students will be writing a Civil Rights Research Paper (in the format of a newspaper article). We will be following the steps of the writing process by planning, drafting, revising, and editing.
