Reading/Writing: This week, we will continue our informational writing unit. Building on what students learned about life for African Americans in the 1960s, students will be writing a Civil Rights Research Paper (in the format of a newspaper article). We will be following the steps of the writing process by planning, drafting, revising, and editing. Students will finish up their rough drafts early this week, and then we will type up a more polished draft and adding multimodal elements like pictures and headings to make it look even more like a newspaper article!
Homework:
- Thursday: Finish typing Civil Rights Newspaper Article (if unfinished)
Assessment: Civil Rights Newspaper Artice (work time in class) (due Friday)
