What we're learning & doing in class: This week we will be continuing our unit about the early ministry of Jesus. We will learn about the woman at the well, and we will review for our assessment.

Learning Targets: This week will continue to learn about the Earth's atmosphere. We will also begin to study how the water cycle fits into our atmosphere.
Learning Targets: This week we will discuss the Revolutionary War. How did the Continental Army win while having so many disadvantages?
Reading/Writing: This week, we will continue reading The Watsons Go to Birmingham by Christopher Paul Curtis, a historical fiction novel that is set in the 1960s. The story is told from the point of view of fourth-grader Kenny Watson. When Kenny and his family visit Birmingham, Alabama, he learns more about the Civil Rights Movement. In reading this novel, we will analyze characters, character relationships, and character development, among other important aspects of the book.
Homework:
Finish up book report by Thursday (if not finished during class work time on Tuesday)

Band: This week we WILL have power hour and will have no instruments on Thursday. Plan to bring a pencil to class on Thursday!
