Boater's Safety Monday-Wednesday (12:40-3:10)

Language Arts: 

• Learning Targets - Students will work on their Argumentative Essay with guided practice and modeling in class. We will test MAP Language Arts on Tues. May 5. 

Assignments: Classwork. Argumentative vocab quiz Wed. May 6. 

Bible: 

Learning Targets:  We will introduce our last unit on the time between the testaments, and how the Hebrew people were able to survive and continue their religion during the Persian conquest and Hellenization.

 Assessments: Classwork. Bible Memory: Tues May 5. 

Science:

Learning Targets: 

This week we have boaters safety! Monday-Wednesday from 5th-7th hours, students will be taking the boaters safety course. Wednesday they will be assessed and become certified.

We will do various exploration labs once boaters safety is completed.

Social Studies: We will continue our unit on the High Middle Ages by discussing the 100 Years War, and how its implications led to the weakening of the feudal system and the strengthening of royal power.  We will also discuss the structure of the Holy Roman Empire, and how it differed from nations like France and England.

Assessments: No assessments this week.

Math: In the upcoming week students will continue their unit on geometric shapes and angles. We will learn how to construct polygons and find missing angle measures. In addition, students will attempt the algebra prognosis test.
