What we're learning & doing in class: This week we will begin reading Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, a symbolic representation of the Biblical story of Jesus' death and resurrection.

Learning Targets: This week will continue to learn about our unit "Water and Weather." We are learning about the different ways the Earth is heated through conduction, radiation, and convection.

Learning Targets: This week we will discuss the American Civil War. What was life like in the battlefront and at home during htis time? Then we will start our final project.
Project:
Reading/Writing: On Monday and Tuesday, students will take the Language Usage MAP tests. Then, we will continue with our opinion writing unit.

Band: Happy Concert Week! For our practice records this week, we are going to aim for 50 minutes of practice, but students get to record 30 free minutes for Thursday due to the Spring Concert. However, because of serve week next week, students will need to hand in these practice records on Friday, not Monday. I will remind them in class this week as well!
