SHORT TERM NTI PLAN
In the case of inclement weather, the district plans to continue with Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) as much as possible.
If severe weather is predicted, students will bring home their device (Chromebook plus charging cord) to access digital assignments. If advanced notice is not possible, students will utilize assignments provided in their Snow Day Packet.
The office staff will be accessible by phone from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. Teachers will be available to support students via a digital platform or email between 9:30-11:00 AM.
What is Short Term NTI?
Short Term NTI is asynchronous (self paced, non-live) instruction provided by the teacher/staff, accompanied by office hours and/or a live meeting option for timely support.
Where do students log in?
Students will first log in to their Chromebook with their email and password. Then, students will access their work and connect to their teachers through Google Classroom.

Signing in to a Chromebook as a Student
Login and Password Troubleshooting:
Students have experience signing into their Chromebooks. Any student who has trouble remembering his/her password should seek help from the classroom teacher. Office staff will also be available to help families contact our STC for assistance if necessary.
What are students expected to do?
NTI with Chromebook
Login to Google Classroom to retrieve instructional materials, participate in the learning activities provided, and submit the necessary completed activities online.
NTI with Snow Day Packet
Access packet to retrieve instructional materials, participate in the learning activities provided, and submit the necessary completed activities the next in-person school day.
Chromebook Care
We ask that families ensure devices and charging cords are well cared for while in the home. Please be sure your Chromebook is:
stored in a safe place
handled carefully
charged overnight
kept away from: food, drinks, pets, younger siblings, glue, stickers, crayons & markers
returned the next in-person school day (along with the charging cord)
