Work and Grades

Classwork

Writing, math, taking notes, disccussion, focus lessons, games, practice and more.  If kids miss more than 2 days in a week, there will be an absent packet available for them, but this will not replicate the class activities.

Homework

Each week students have a homework packet that includes 2 math tasks, a reading task and a writing task.  In addition, students should be reading independently.  Students that complete 9 out of 11 weekly homeworks will be elegible for the Trimester award day!

Grades

To help make learning and grades more visible, I take 11 data points each week and each child has their own grade sheet that is shared with parents so that kids and parents can track their growth.  I try to send home examples of math, reading, and writing each week.
