Moments where learning and experience come together are valuable in creating memories as well as building academic learning. At Kyffin we have out-of-school experiences like field trips as well as in-school experiences. Because of transportation, timing, and expense, we try to build in-school experiences first.

Out of school experiences might happen 1-3 times a year. Last year, 3rd graders went to the symphony, a museum, and an Old Farm house. We try to pick locations that are connected with curriculum and that cannot be replicated at school.
In-School Activities
In-School Activities
In school experiences allow the teachers to make more direct connection with the curriculum without buses or transportation. One of these experiences that is a tradition in 3rd grade is hatching baby chicks!
