In the Plessroom, we practice our PPRRS. Together as a class we decide what rules allow us to work and play together in our community.
P: Positive: bring a positive mindset to learning and working
P: Productive: Work hard in class and try to complete jobs.
R: Respectful: Be thoughtful to yourself and others.
R: Responsible: Be aware of how your actions impact yourself and others.
S: Safe: Choose behaviors that keep everyone safe and secure.
I am THRILLED to introduce our new engagement system called EdQuest! I became a founding member last year. This will allow students to have their own characters, level up through hard work and achievement, do quests, and so much more!
I like to reward the class when they have done an especially good job on a challenging project or when we have met a goal.
Some examples of class rewards might be earning a DEAR morning, getting an extra recess, having me send home good news, earning a movie afternoon, Pajama day and more!
We practice our PPRRS which means that sometimes practice goes well and sometimes it doesn't. When people are struggling with a behavior they complete a think sheet that allows them time to reflect and change. In general, I do not send thinksheets home so that students can take time to think instead of feeling like I'm telling on them.
