JCPL Youth Development Program at Evergreen Library - 9/29/25 - 11/19/25 An 8 week learning and development program for high schoolers. Participants of the Youth Development Program will learn leadership skills, master communication and advocacy and apply those skills to a final project. This is a great opportunity for teens to learn and practice mitigating stress and improve job readiness. Virtual Job Chats at Southwest Airlines - 9/9/25, 11/4/25, 3/25/26, 4/29/26. Southwest Airlines is excited to host quarterly virtual conversations with Southwest employees! These are designed for high school students to learn about possible career paths in the aviation industry. During each 45-minute webinar, students hear directly from employees representing multiple workgroups and take away valuable tips to set them up for success in the future. Q&A at the end. One of the benefits of attending a college visit is that you get a chance to meet the admissions counselor who will be reviewing your application. Admissions counselors take note of who attends these meetings, and it makes a positive impression on them. Come prepared with questions, ideally about things you cannot find on the college's website. Some ideas:
"What kinds of internships do you offer?"
"How does your college help students find employment after graduation?"
"How does your college differ from comparable colleges?"
Or, just listen in!
Sign up (register) in Naviance under "What's New" To login into Naviance, you simply need to go to the Quick Links page of the EHS website, scroll down to the Naviance tile and click on "Visit Naviance," then click on the "Sign in with Clever" button. It will ask you to login using your Jeffco student ID and password, which will then take you directly to Naviance. You don't need to use your birthdate anymore. In Naviance, scroll down to "What's New" and click on "Show more" so you can see the whole list of college visits. For each school with which you may be interested in visiting, click on "more info" and "Register" for that visit. A meeting link for the visit will be posted by Naviance in this same location 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
