  • Mountains Got Talent!  4/17/26 at Conifer High School.  Where Mountain Student Musicians Take the Stage!  Mountains Got Talent is an amazing opportunity for students to compete for paid positions at a total of seven different festivals.   • U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar and Summer STEM applications are now open!  This is a tremendous opportunity focused on students interested in attending the Academy and interested in STEM.  USNA Summer Seminar.  USNA Summer STEM. Deadline for both is 3/31/26.

  • Summer Opportunities

  • Community Service Letter at EHS - EHS students, get involved by volunteering – it’s ego-friendly!  You can be recognized at EHS for your volunteer work and earn a letter in community service.   115 hours of service between the first day of summer and 4/15/26.  Application here.

Career Corner

  • Colorado Health Careers Academy through Arapahoe Community College and Community College of Denver.  Highschoolers can gain experience and exposure to several of Colorado's fastest growing health careers.  Perfect for students considering a career in healthcare.  

  • Save the date: Girls Who Code - Girls Who Code’s free, virtual summer program, Pathways, is accepting applications! Over seven weeks of flexible learning, you’ll explore the tech topics that excite you most. Choose beginner to advanced courses in: Game Design, Data Science + AI, AI + Society, Cybersecurity, Web Development. The Pathways application is open to high school girls and non-binary students, including rising 9th graders, graduating seniors, and returning participants. 

  • Paid Summer Internship - Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain Foundations in Financial Careers.  Run by professionals in local firms in the private equity, public accounting, investment banking, financial services and legal fields.  Flyer with application link.

• • SENIORS ONLY....Lockheed Martin is committed to building a pipeline of technical talent from the communities it serves. This spring LM is looking for new T.A.L.E.N.T. – Training Aspiring Locals to Engineer a New Tomorrow, a 3‑year, full‑time apprenticeship for recent high‑school graduates.  Who: High‑school graduates (≤ 24 months old) who are 18+ and not entering a 4‑year university immediately. Community‑college students are also welcome. What: 3‑year engineering apprenticeship with structured training, mentorship, and hands‑on project work. Why: Full Lockheed Martin benefits, college‑tuition reimbursement, a clear pathway to a permanent engineering career, and the opportunity to obtain a DoD security clearance. Commitment: Full‑time (40 hrs./week) with a guaranteed salary throughout the apprenticeship.   • Mines Academy is a transfer partnership program with Arapahoe Community College, Community College of Aurora, Front Range Community College and Red Rocks Community College, designed to provide a seamless pathway to Colorado School of Mines.  By joining Mines Academy at a community college, students can complete the equivalent of the first 2 years of a Mines engineering degree at a reduced cost.  Learn more here.
