GENERAL TOPIC: I know you by your routines - Challenges and Opportunities of Teenage Years.
Objective: Identify the main ideas, some details and inferences of written texts, in high level in order to produce appropriate critical analysis. O.EFL 4.1
Appreciate and value English as an international language and a medium to interact globally. O.EFL 4.2.
Write short descriptive and informative texts related to personal information or familiar topics. O.EFL 4.6.
O.EFL 4.7. Use spoken and written literary text in English such as poems, short stories, comic strips, short magazine articles and oral interviews on familiar subjects in order to inspire oral and written production at an A2.1 level.
WEEK #1 Orientation week
Skills: Effective communication and active listening.
TEACHING-LEARNING ACTIVITIES.- During orientation week, new students will have the opportunity to meet their professors and tour the institutions.
Icebreakers:
The snowball: One student starts by saying their name and something they like, then throws a paper ball to the next, who repeats the previous information and adds their own.
Getting to know each other:
Guided tour of the school: If possible, take a guided tour of the school facilities to familiarize students with the available spaces and resources.
Creating a collaborative mural: Students work together to create a mural that represents the group's values and expectations.
Group project presentations: Divide students into teams to work on a short project that allows them to get to know each other better and develop collaboration skills.
Activities to foster mutual understanding:
Partner interviews: Students interview a partner and then share what they learned with the group.
Developing social skills:
Cooperative games: Play games that promote cooperation and teamwork, such as building a tower with recycled materials or solving a puzzle together.
Debating relevant topics: Propose topics of interest to students and encourage a respectful and constructive debate.
WEEK #2 Diagnostic week
Skills: Associate self-correcting and self-monitoring strategies in social and classroom interactions. (Example: asking questions, starting over, rephrasing, EFL 4.1.5.
Adapt learning strategies to examine and interpret a variety of written materials using prior knowledge, graphic organizers, context clues, note taking and finding words in a dictionary. EFL 4.3.6
Motivation:
General instructions on the evaluation, explanation of each question to be answered and answering doubts.
Activities:
Do differente activities related to the topics given the previous year, with differents digital resources.

WEEK #3,4,5 Leveling weeks
Skills: Demonstrate an appreciation of some commonalities and distinctions (differentiated by gender, ability, generations, etc.) of the students’ own. EFL 4.1.2
Use simple descriptive language to compare and make brief statements about objects and Possessions. (Example: family, school, living conditions, personal Belongings, etc.) EFL 4.2.11.
Identify use of clues such as titles, illustrations, organization, text outline and layout, etc. to understand relevant information in written level-appropriate text types. EFL 4.3.2.
EFL 4.4.3. Critically evaluate information from references, including those found on the web, and recommend print and digital sources to other learners.
EFL 4.5.3. Make predictions, inferences and deductions to demonstrate different levels of meaning of literary works presented orally or in digital form, including literal and implied meanings. (Example: summarizing, explaining and identifying, word choice, symbols, points of view, etc.)

Write six interrogative and six negative sentences in the present simple of the verb to be.
