Marketing is not free. Every effective plan has a cost. This portion of the marketing project explores the monetary cost of each proposed tactic, as well as public relations and social media plans.
Each budgeted item in my budget plan plays an important role in the Health & Wellness Coaching program. Graphic design costs are necessary to ensure all flyers and campus posts maintain a polished appearance. Event booth and workshop costs allow direct engagement with students which builds awareness in a hands-on experience that will spark student interest.
Social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok marketing are prioritized due to their popularity among the target market of students the plan is aiming for. With costs that are designated toward consistent and high quality posts, the costs per each post for a new Instagram page is estimated to be $20 and for a new TikTok page with frequent marketed posts is estimated to be $25.
Giveaways and rewards help increase participation while establishing student motivation, an example could be after a student has achieved certain milestone with either grades or in their physical health, having a positive reinforcement such as fitness gear, would help the student continue to pursue their goals.
Emergency Funding is a necessary aspect of budgeting to incorporate. It allows the program to adapt to unexpected needs and changes.
Lastly, the investment of hired staff. Employing an internal dedicated team whether it be previous students enrolled or campus faculty, not only fosters transparency and trust between the students and coaches, but it also diminishes misrepresentation. By hiring in-house staffing, it ensures that those who are directly connected to the Health and Wellness program maintain full control over the messaging and representation. This would ideally eliminate the risk of miscommunication than can occur from outsourced marketing and staff, leading to an authentic approach.
