OUR VALUES - Friendship - Honesty - Kindness - Respect - Trust
About Miss Shepherd: I am delighted to be teaching Primary 5 this year. This is my seventh year of teaching and it is safe to say everyday is a school day - even for us teachers! I love working at Ness Castle as we have such a brilliant and supportive team. I am a big fan of long walks and paddle boarding - especially when the sun is shining. I'd be lost without a cup of tea and I cannot resist a biscuit! 🍪☕
Primary 5 PE days: Kit should be taken to school on a Wednesday and a Friday for PE. Kit can be left in school all week in the PE box in class and then taken home at the end of the week to be washed. A t-shirt and shorts or tracksuit bottoms would be ideal as well as sensible indoor shoes. 👟
Indoor shoes: Pupils should change into their indoor shoes whilst inside the school building. Please get in touch if we can be of any support in helping with indoor shoes. 👟🏀
School Uniform: Should be worn at all times. Royal blue is our colour, wear it with pride!
Snack and a water bottle: It is important to stay hydrated and eat well in order to learn. Children are asked to take a water bottle to school daily and are encouraged to drink water regularly throughout the school day. It is important to have a snack for break at 10.45am.
The school newsletter will update you on what is going on at school, detail key dates and provide lots of relevant information each month.
The school app will provide key updates and information about dates and events. Any last minute information or changes are frequently shared here.
The school blog will provide you with an insight into classroom learning and will be updated weekly.

Welcome back to Ness Castle Primary for our first full school year in our new building!
I'd like to say a great big thank you to all of Primary 5 for returning to school after the summer break with the excellent enthusiasm, manners and interest for learning.
I am very lucky to get to be their teacher this year and I am very much looking forward to all of the learning and adventures to come!
