Elaine Primary School statutory consultation on the admission arrangements for the academic year September 2026
Consultation period: Friday, 22nd November 2024 to Friday,17th January 2025 at 5pm
Admissions Code of Practice 2021 requires an Admissions Authority to consult each time it proposes to make significant changes to its admissions arrangements. Inspire Partnership Academy Trust the Admission Authority for Elaine Primary School, Elaine Avenue, Rochester, Kent, ME2 2YN is consulting on the proposed change to the admissions criteria at Elaine Primary School for September 2026. The proposed change is the inclusion of children of staff at the school as a separate oversubscription criteria. The change is proposed because the Trust recognises that giving priority to children of staff may promote staff morale, recruitment and retention, reward their commitment to the school and create a community environment.
There are no other material changes to our proposed arrangements, so although the full draft document is included for completeness, we are not seeking feedback on any other aspect of these arrangements.
The full arrangements can be viewed here.

Sports clubs have now started and our first tournaments, tri golf and hockey are coming up this half term. Please speak to Miss Macklin, our PE coordinator, if you have any questions about PE or sports clubs.
All children can come to school in PE kit on their PE day. This must be Elaine PE kit.
Healthy School
As a school, we promote healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle. Snacks should be fruit only. Water should be sent in children's bottles and children may have squash/juice at lunchtime only. Children will not be allowed to drink squash during lessons.
As we have children with allergies at Elaine, we are a nut free school so please consider this when packing your child a packed lunch.
