Parent Survey
We value your input and believe that your voice is essential in helping us create the best possible learning environment for our pupils. We are excited to announce that our parent survey is now available!
This survey provides a valuable opportunity for you to share your thoughts and feedback on your child's experience at Elaine. Your honest opinions will help us understand what we're doing well and identify areas where we can improve. We encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share your perspective.
Your feedback is incredibly important to us. It helps us make informed decisions about school programs, resources, and initiatives that directly impact your children's education. We want to hear from you – your voice truly matters!
You can access the survey through the following link: Survey link
Alternatively, you can scan the QR code below with your smartphone or tablet (see above)
The survey will be open until Monday 3rd March 5pm. All responses will be kept confidential and used to help us better serve our pupils and families.
Thank you for your time and participation. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring a successful and enriching educational experience for all our students.
Welcome
School Playgroup Equipment fund raising
We're reaching out to share an inspiring story and to invite you to participate! Bob Vincent, a deeply valued member of our school community with a connection spanning nearly four decades, is undertaking a fundraising walk from Sittingbourne to Elaine Primary School on March 5th. His goal? To raise vital funds for much-needed playground equipment for our children.
Bob's dedication to our school and the wider community is truly remarkable. As a veteran and Chairman of the Rochester and Strood branch of the Royal British Legion, he has a long history of charitable work. Now, he's focusing his efforts on benefiting our children, emphasising that "every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference."
We need you! Let's rally behind Bob and show him our support. You can contribute to this wonderful cause by donating through his GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/3b41fa6b.
And that's not all! Your dedicated PTA is also contributing to this important initiative. We are working alongside Bob to ensure that the funds raised directly benefit our children and enhance their outdoor learning and play experience.
Together, we can make a real difference to the lives of our children. Thank you for your support!

This month's learning...
This half term we have been working very hard on our sentence writing! We have been writing character descriptions, speech & thought bubbles and have enjoyed learning how to use adjectives to better our writing.
This half term we have been exploring numbers 6-10. The children have used numicon, cubes, counters and tens frames to identify which numbers add together to make 8. They have then tried to independently problem solve using these number bonds.
This term in DT, O'Keeffe class have been designing and making their own model aeroplanes. We are looking forward to finishing them off and including the key features of an aeroplane such as tail, wings, rudder and propeller.
In Monet class this term, we have been making and designing our own aeroplanes using various materials such as plastic bottles, card and paper.
This term in Van Gogh we have been using manipulatives to support our maths lesson. We have mastered our 1 more and 1 less
This term Gill class have been researching our artist and created our own observational drawings, inspired by Steff Mitchell - who is inspired by nature and emotions in her own works of art.
We have been exploring shadows and investigating how the size of shadows changes as the distance from the light source varies.
We have been exploring shadows and investigating how the size of shadows changes as the distance from the light source varies.
In Banksy class we have been exploring the artwork of Bisa Butler, and created backgrounds for our final art outcome based on her style of art work.
In English, we have been identifying differences between formal and informal letters. We then wrote formal letters to Ms Bansil.
In Maths, we have been comparing and ordering fractions.
In science, Team Wiltshire have thoroughly enjoyed exploring circuits. We have organised different electrical components in series and have had to apply various problem solving skills along the way. We have even tried to make batteries using lemons and potatoes! On this occasion, our findings did not concur with our original predictions!
In Sherald class we've been really enjoying our new addition to the classroom, our very own microscope! We spent some time finding different materials to place under the lens and the outcomes were very interesting!
This week in Picasso pupils have been finishing off their narrative writing as well as completing their sequencing tasks ready for presentation
Our Whole School attendance this week is: 91% and our persistent absence is 24%.
