Personal Development - Preparing for Sixth Form

Introduction

To help you get the best possible start in Year 12, we have put together a summer transition programme combining information about your chosen subjects and a range of study and motivational skills you will need at Sixth form. We strongly recommend that you access the subject areas that you have chosen to give you an introduction to the subject and the key areas you will be studying. and all of the 'Focus On' modules to help you to develop your independent learning skills.

This will help to:

  • support your transition between GCSE and A-level studies

  • give you an introduction to your chosen areas of study with a focus on key language and terminology and the content you will be studying over the next two years

  • prepare you for the organisational and academic skills you will need for Sixth form.

At the end of each of the 'Focus On' modules, there is a feedback form to complete. This will help us to know what has been useful for you in preparing for Sixth form.

Welcome to your TP6 journey - we look forward to seeing you in September!
